Dark Meditation
MoonlightMovementMusic
Let your worries melt in the moonlight.
For one hour, step into the portal and away from the world, and let the music take you on a journey. Walk. Move. Lie still. Drift.

Join in Miami
Beach gathering
Join us in Miami on July 25 at 8:15 PM for the beach gathering and shared listening experience.
RSVP through Luma. The exact meeting point is shared with registered guests.
Choose a safe place
Find a place where it is safe to walk, sit, or lie down. Outside in nature is ideal. You can also do this indoors.
Bring your phone and headphones
Everyone listens from their own phone in silent disco mode. Charge your phone in advance. Bring headphones you trust. If your location does not have reception, you will be able to download the experience in advance.
Move or be still
This is not a performance to watch. You can walk, stretch, sway, dance, sit, or do almost nothing. There is no right or wrong way to do it.
Come alone, or together
The experience is personal, but it can be beautiful to have people around you. Bring friends you care about, and let everyone experience it in their own way.
Dress comfortably
Wear comfortable clothes you can move in. Black, white, or a small touch of red is encouraged, so everyone feels part of the circle. If you are outside after dark, add something reflective or light-colored so you remain visible.
A few questions
Before you step through
What if I don't have headphones?
Headphones are recommended, and they're the only way to participate with us in Miami. If you're joining from somewhere else, you can use a Bluetooth speaker or play the music through your phone, as long as you find a private place where it won't disturb anyone. You can also take the journey at home: play it through your speakers, step onto a balcony, or clear some space in a room and turn the lights down low so it feels like you're under the moon.
Do I have to be outside?
It's recommended, but not required. Being outside in nature, somewhere you can see the moon, can make the experience more special. If you need to stay indoors, clear a space where you feel safe enough to move. Open a window or balcony door, turn the lights down low, imagine the beach around you, and let the music take you there.
Should I bring my kids?
Teenagers might enjoy the journey, especially if they love music and movement. I would recommend it for ages 13 and up, with a parent nearby. There is nothing explicit, and there are very few words overall. For younger kids, the nighttime atmosphere and unfamiliarity of the music might make them feel uncomfortable, or simply bored.
What music will I hear?
Dark Meditation is electronic music that you can move to, dance to, wander through, or just let wash over you. Sometimes it might make you want to move; other times it might feel a little strange. To me, it feels like dancing on a moonlit beach by the ocean. The music might connect you to your body, it doesn't require too much of you, and it lets you drift into your own journey.
Do I have to dance?
Not at all. Walk, stretch, sway, sit, lie still, or do nothing. Move if you feel like it, or don't. You can take the whole journey sitting, lying down, or in whatever position feels comfortable.
Should I drink alcohol?
I'd skip the alcohol. The music, darkness, and movement will do plenty to help you drift. And since it's a silent disco, no one is asking you to make small talk anyway. If walking outside with headphones feels a little strange, just pretend you're jogging.
How long is the journey?
Plan for one uninterrupted hour. The music lasts about 50 minutes, with a little space before and after to arrive, settle in, and slowly come back to reality.
In Miami, we start gathering at 8:15 PM because we know you'll be late. But the music starts with or without you. See the Miami invite for details.
